We are currently seeking a full-time Calibration Technician to work first shift, Monday through Friday. The Calibration Technician reports directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for the calibration, routine inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of instruments, meters, gauges, and other testing and measuring devices. The Calibration Technician will collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, and Engineering departments.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Administer all calibration methods and procedures.
* Generate monthly reports to determine equipment due for calibration.
* Perform routine equipment maintenance.
* Calibrate equipment according to industry standards.
* Troubleshoot equipment failures.
* Conduct equipment repairs.
* Recommend equipment upgrades.
* Maintain calibration equipment and supplies.
* Complete equipment reports.
* Coordinate with outside calibration vendors to schedule outsourced calibration services.
* Maintain control and traceability related to outside vendors.
* Create and document work instructions.
* Perform other duties as necessary to support business needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of one year of experience as a calibration technician or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience with equipment maintenance and repairs.
* Advanced troubleshooting skills.
* Proficiency with calibration software.
* Certification by ASQ (American Society for Quality).
* Experience with ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems.
* Strong communication skills.
* High attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
* Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Regular on-site attendance is required.
* As a U.S. government defense contractor, qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access U.S. government-controlled technology prior to employment.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
* Close visual acuity for data analysis and preparation.
* Hand-eye coordination.
* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
