Job Description
General Summary:
The Benefits, Associate Director, is responsible for the benefit design, management, compliance and administration of all International benefit programs. This includes employee communication, vendor management and effective benefit administration, while partnering with the broader Benefit and People Experience teams to manage and administer benefit programs. The incumbent will also be responsible for researching and proposing to Senior Management of annual renewal or design changes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the overall design, management, compliance and administration of all International benefit programs.
* Leverages market data, industry trend and best practices data to identify opportunities to enhance the competitiveness of the benefits program.
* Evaluates and selects vendors, partners, and negotiates contracts, seeking to balance competitiveness with cost control.
* Oversees benefits budget and processes, including vendor management, open enrolment and related activities or communications.
* Ensures plan compliance with relevant regulatory standards and statutes.
* Implements programs providing effective communication, training, and support to internal stakeholders to develop robust effective internal processes.
* Acts as primary contact with Benefit consultants and plan providers to ensure efficient administration of benefit plans.
* Coach to mentor junior members of the direct or wider HR team
* Serves as consultant to HR Business Partners and Management for all benefits related matters
* Drives identification, assessment and execution of ongoing process improvement
Knowledge and Skills:
* CBP, CEBS, CCP certifications a plus.
* Specialised expertise in benefits program design and administration across multiple geographies.
* Strong analytic skills
* Strong working knowledge of government regulations that apply to benefit programs
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interpret contractual language into easily understandable text; comfortable in group presentations and has strong influencing skills.
* Strong vendor management skills.
* Strong software skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HR systems.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelors degree
* Benefit related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
