 
        
        Job Introduction
As a Subway Sandwich Artist at Sodexo in Royal Stoke Hospital, you’ll play an important role in preparing and serving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery and wellbeing. You’ll also help maintain a clean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas and deliver high standards of customer service.
Location: Royal Stoke Hospital, Newcastle Road, Stoke‑On‑Trent ST4 6QG
Pay: £10.45‑12.60 per hour
Shift: 5 hours per day, 1 day per week (various shifts including weekends)
Holiday: 20 days per year + Bank Holidays
What you’ll do
 * Complete production of Subway produce for daily service in line with specification
 * Ensure food storage and preparation comply with Subway and Sodexo standards
 * Receive, check, and store deliveries
 * Maintain a safe working environment for staff and guests
 * Maintain personal hygiene and uniform standards in line with brand expectations
 * Deliver high standards of customer service, ensuring survey results are achieved
 * Promote both Subway and Sodexo brands at all times
 * Operate and declare the till daily, capturing all revenue and bread count at end of service
 * Attend monthly Sodexo Great Training Program, annual appraisals, and competency checks
 * Maintain stock rotation in all store locations, minimizing risk of waste or spoilage
 * Stay informed of current promotional activity and ensure adequate stock of relevant products
 * Upsell additional products to guests, following training provided via the online Subway University
 * Undertake other duties and projects as requested by management to ensure smooth operation of Subway/Retail services
What you bring
 * A passion for delivering tasty, nutritious food with care
 * A friendly, professional attitude and respect for patients, visitors, and colleagues
 * Basic food-handling knowledge and hygiene awareness, level 2 food safety is preferable
 * Previous food preparation and food service experience (previous Subway experience is a plus)
 * The ability to stay on your feet and work efficiently during busy service periods, and work under pressure
