Overview
As a Finance Clerk, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes across the business. You’ll support both routine and month-end activities and act as a dependable point of contact for finance-related queries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, and credit notes accurately and on time as a Finance Clerk
2. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as a Finance Clerk
3. Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
4. Maintain organised and accurate financial records and filing systems
5. Assist with month-end tasks, including journals and reconciliations
6. Respond to finance queries from internal teams and suppliers as a Finance Clerk
7. Support management with financial reports when needed
8. Follow internal controls and company procedures as a Finance Clerk
9. Handle general administrative tasks within the finance department as a Finance Clerk
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
10. Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or clerical role
11. Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
12. Basic understanding of accounting principles
13. Confident user of Microsoft Excel and Office apps
14. Strong organisational and time-management skills as a Finance Clerk
15. Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
Desirable
16. Experience using accounting or ERP systems
17. AAT Level 2 or 3 (or currently studying)
18. Experience working in a fast-paced finance environment
