This is an office based role ideal for somebody located in or commutable to the Wirral.
This opportunity is ideal for an immediately available CIMA/ACCA part qualified or AAT qualified Assistant Accountant with previous experience of handling day to day financial transactions and assisting with the production of management accounts.

Job Duties:
Reconciliation of two revenue streams, to include all Sales Invoicing (and Credit Control) and Purchase Ledgers
Reconciliation of Online Sales platforms
Ensuring the accuracy and data integrity of Financial Ledgers at all times
Preparation of Month End Management Accounts in an accurate and timely manner, to include both the P&L and Balance Sheet (including stock valuation, accruals and prepayments)
VAT (and GST) Returns, plus other statutory reporting (e.g. ONS)
Full ownership of Budgets and Quarterly Forecasting modelling, including liaison with all key stakeholders
Manage the day-to-day business banking transactions
Cash flow management and forecasting
Ensuring the accuracy and data integrity of Financial Ledgers at all times
Ad-hoc finance tasks as required
Ensure monthly Management Information reporting timetable is adhered to
Preparation of monthly packs for presentation to Managing Director / Board
Work with budget holders to analyse variances from forecast / budget on spend
Ensure quarterly forecasting timetable is adhered to
Ensure all other reporting requirements are completed in a timely manner
General support to the wider business on financial management
Ideal experience
Transactional Accounting experience, ideally within a Retail environment, with focus on Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Bank Reconciliations and statutory returns (VAT etc.
Confident in preparing monthly management accounts and reviewing/presenting a Board Pack
Experience with a multi-company and multi-currency structure
History of preparing budgets and forecasts with all key stakeholders, and variance analysis against the targets
Strong systems knowledge, preferably Sage200, along with advanced competency in Microsoft Excel
Ideally AAT qualified, but will consider and support part qualified applicants
