As a Health & Safety volunteer you will support the RSPCA in maintaining a safe environment for people and animals by helping to identify risks, promote safe working practices, and assist in the implementation of health and safety policies.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Supporting the CEO with any H&S related matters.
* Liaising with our H&S provider and assisting in carrying out workplace inspections and safety checks at our RSPCA shops (Chesham and Burnham) and any other RSPCA locations across the South Bucks Region.
* Supporting with any corrective actions following audits.
* Keep abreast of changes in legislation and best practice.
* Updating policies and procedures as required.
* Help to identify and report potential hazards or risks to the CEO.
* Support the CEO with any near misses, incidents, accidents and investigations.
* Support in maintaining accurate health and safety records, including incident reports and inspection logs.
* Assist in promoting safe working practices among staff and volunteers, including provision of regular H&S training.
* Help to ensure health and safety signage, first aid kits, and fire safety equipment are in place and well maintained.
* Liaise with team members to encourage a positive health and safety culture.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience of Health & Safety is essential.
* Someone who is reliable and committed to helping us two days a week, on an ongoing basis.
* Excellent organisational skills and PC literate (ideally MS and Google).
* Excellent interpersonal skills which you will utilise when interacting with staff and volunteers.
* You will need to be able to visit our locations in South Buckinghamshire and carry out some work from home.
* You will need to be aged 18 or over.

* Health & Safety: You'll need to complete a simple online Health & Safety course before starting the role.
