Vacancy: Production Engineer

We are seeking a Production Engineer with the perfect blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in optimising our manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvements, troubleshoot issues, and drive innovation throughout our production operations.
There’s plenty to do in this role, you will design, implement, and optimise production processes to meet quality and efficiency targets. You will analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. You will conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues. You will assist the design engineers with design and manufacture of new products as well as special one-off equipment. You will create reports to support any potential investment in new machinery and equipment whilst staying current with industry trends and best practices in manufacturing technology and process optimisation.
What about you? You will have proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a production engineering role and an excellent understanding of design and engineering manufacturing processes. You will either have an engineering qualification or you may be qualified through experience. Experience in pneumatics and electric circuits are desirable but not essential. You will be computer literate with knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Microsoft packages. You’ll have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities and have the ability to plan and prioritise tasks. You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively. You will thrive in a fast-paced, environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
