THE ROLE A key part of the Finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. The role has overall responsibility for the preparation of Management Accounts & management of Treasury. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibility for the completion of the month end close-down. Preparation of monthly management accounts and reports. Analytical review and validation of financial results. Control & maintenance of the nominal ledger, cash book and fixed asset registers. Preparation of monthly stock reconciliations. Control of key accruals and prepayments arising from individual departments around the business. Reconciliations of control accounts, including inter-company and suspense. Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Office of National Statistics returns. Assistance with the completion of the year-end audit file including first draft statutory accounts. Control & maintenance of the purchase order processing / service codes Preparation of UK VAT Return and Irish VAT Return. First approver on BACS/SEPA runs, as well as most Priority Payments. Monitoring levels of currency in multiple accounts. Preparation and review of French Direct Debit collections. Processing and review of employee credit cards and expense claims. Working with the Purchasing Team, to maintain the landed costs matrix, to ensure goods purchased are recorded at the correct value. Assist the Financial Controller with monthly and weekly reporting to Parent. Work with IT and Commercial Teams on consistent reporting across multiple platforms. Liaise with Commercial Analysts and other business leads on stock anomalies and costing variances. Assisting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as required. Other AdHoc tasks as required.
