Overview

Join to apply for the Receptionist role at Westward Care.

Location: Headingley Hall Care Home, 5 Shire Oak Road

Contract: Part-time • Salary: £12.35 Hourly

Closing Date: Friday 26th September, 2025


Responsibilities

* Provide a friendly, professional front-of-house service for customers and visitors
* Contribute to an ambience appropriate to the customer profile and in line with the vision and values of Westward Care Ltd.
* Work independently and autonomously while building relationships with the Administrator, General Manager, colleagues, customers, and suppliers
* Proactively identify and agree on opportunities to improve services to meet changing needs and maximise customer satisfaction
* Assist with administration and logistics to support events and marketing activities
* Deliver a consistent front-of-house experience for all customers and visitors
* Greet visitors on arrival and ensure they feel welcome
* Handle face-to-face and telephone enquiries efficiently, friendly, and professionally
* Treat all customers and employees with equality, dignity, and respect, and support an environment free from discrimination and harassment
* Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and within agreed timeframes
* Maintain a professional appearance in line with uniform standards
* Work with other team members to deliver a professional front-of-house service and contribute to team development
* Adopt various communication methods to meet customer needs and maintain confidentiality
* Participate in team meetings and one-to-one meetings with the Line Manager
* Proactively gather customer feedback, identify changes as needed, and present cases for change to the Administrator and/or General Manager
* Be responsible for managing resources to minimise waste and deliver high-standard services
* Be accountable for monies in your possession and promote Westward Care services and facilities


Qualifications & Requirements

* High literacy skills
* Customer service experience
* Team player
* DBS enhanced disclosure (as indicated)


Additional Information

* Ability to work flexibly to cover sickness and holidays
* Work unsocial hours, weekends, and Bank Holidays as necessary
* Service operates 24/7; flexibility is essential
