The School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh invites applications for a Postgraduate research associate.
Candidates must have or be near completion of a PhD degree in Computer Science or related field and a strong research track record demonstrated through publications at top-tier venues. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with strong initiative and commitment to excellence, and an ability to conduct world-class research in a team setting.
Your skills and attributes for success:
1. Degree in appropriate field
2. PhD (or near completion)

3. Excellent research track record as demonstrated through publications at top-tier conferences or high-impact journals.
4. Strong experience of research in one or more of the following areas: Wireless networking systems5G and beyond mobile networks, including Open RANMachine learning for networks and systemsSystems for machine learningEdge computing and applicationsNetworked systems design and experimental evaluationNetwork measurementNetwork security
5. Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing.
6. Possess high level of initiative, be detail oriented and ability to effectively work in a team setting.
7. Preferably, experience in research student supervision and grant writing.

This post is offered full time (35 hours per week),however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
