We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods and parcels to various locations in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the company's professional image. Responsibilities
* Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
* Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas.
* Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures.
* Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
* Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during deliveries.
Experience
* Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
* Experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
* Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members.
* Familiarity with GPS devices or route planning software is beneficial.
