The opportunity
Unity Engine Support provides technical solutions to our customers’ hardest problems. Using our in-depth knowledge of Unity, game development, and various aspects of technology and programming, we help Unity developers across industries to ship their projects.
Our customers face a wide variety of challenges, requiring quick thinking, in-depth analysis, curiosity, flexibility, and positivity. In this role, you will be working to solve these problems, constantly learning about the latest Unity features, and helping to develop some of the most exciting games and simulations in development today!
What you'll be doing
* Being the first point of contact for technical inquiries from Unity developers, managing issues via our online ticketing system.
* Investigating, researching, profiling, debugging, and resolving technical problems, collaborating with customers and internal engineers as needed.
* Enhancing and expanding documentation, resource materials, and technical FAQs.
* Engaging in ongoing professional development through training, hackweeks, and exploring new Unity features.
What we're looking for
* Experience in developing and publishing high-quality projects using Unity, with proficiency in C++ and C# programming for performance optimization.
* Skills in debugging, profiling, and optimizing native applications for mobile and standalone devices.
* A strong understanding of Unity Engine features such as DOTS, Unity Physics, and Addressables.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
You might also have
* Experience with other game engines and publishing projects built with them.
* Experience working with mobile platforms like Android and iOS.
* Customer-facing experience.
* Knowledge of SCM software (Git, SVN, Mercurial, P4) and external hosting platforms (e.g., Github, Bitbucket).
