The Role This is a hands-on Team Leader position within the Paint and Final Assembly department. You'll take ownership of daily operations while remaining actively involved on the tools. You'll lead a small, skilled team-ensuring products move efficiently through final stages, meet exacting quality standards, and are delivered on schedule. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Paint & Final Assembly team Ensure smooth workflow through painting, glazing, and final assembly stages Monitor progress and proactively flag delays or issues Inspect finished products for accuracy, consistency, and high-quality finish Oversee correct assembly, glazing, and ironmongery fitting Support, guide, and mentor team members Contribute to improving processes and standard operating procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment What We're Looking For Essential: Solid hands-on experience in bench joinery, glazing, or final assembly Strong understanding of timber windows and doors Previous experience leading or supervising a team (formal or informal) Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship Confident communicator with a proactive approach Practical, hands-on mindset Desirable: NVQ Level 3 in Joinery (or equivalent) Experience within a manufacturing/production environment Knowledge of spray painting or finishing processes What's On Offer Profit-sharing bonus scheme Company pension Early finish every Friday Free breakfast every Friday On-site parking Employee referral programme Stable, long-term opportunity with a growing business Additional Information 40 hours per week Monday-Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm Friday: 7:30am - 2:30pm Own tools required Site-based role in Sherburn-in-Elmet Apply Now If you're a skilled joiner / sprayer ready to step up-or an experienced team leader looking for your next challenge-we'd love to hear from you.
