Neway International are seeking a PRS Placements Adviser to join our client based with Camden Council.

Location: 5 Pancras Square
Hours: 36 hours per week
Start Date: 16/02/2026

Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00

About the Client
Camden Council's Supporting Communities directorate is committed to ensuring residents have access to safe, suitable, and affordable homes. Their Housing Allocation service plays a vital role in preventing homelessness, improving property standards, and strengthening the private rented sector to support residents in housing need.

The Role
The PRS Placements Adviser is responsible for maximising the supply of suitable and affordable private rented homes for households in housing need, in line with Camden's homelessness accommodation strategy and placement policy. You will support the delivery of the council's private rented sector strategy by improving property standards, increasing supply, and ensuring tenants have a strong voice.

This role is central to securing sustainable placements, supporting vulnerable residents, and ensuring the council's PRS access schemes deliver value, quality, and positive long‑term outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Achieve targets for securing suitable and affordable PRS tenancies that meet demand.

Contribute to the development and delivery of schemes to attract new landlords and increase PRS supply.

Deliver PRS access schemes that provide maximum value to the council.

Arrange sustainable placements that meet agreed standards and support customer wellbeing and resilience.

Work collaboratively with Housing Options colleagues on discharging homelessness duties under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Localism Act

Provide high‑quality advice and assistance to customers and accommodation providers.

Ensure income‑generating schemes operate at maximum efficiency.

Identify and address the needs of vulnerable adults and children accessing the service.

Identify and respond to customers' equalities needs.

Protect council resources by detecting and preventing fraud.

Candidate Requirements
Experience working within housing, homelessness, or private rented sector services.

Strong understanding of PRS access schemes, landlord engagement, and tenancy sustainment.

Ability to build relationships with landlords, agents, and accommodation providers.

Knowledge of homelessness legislation including the Homelessness Reduction Act

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to assess needs, identify risks, and support vulnerable households.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet targets and manage competing priorities.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Commitment to equality, safeguarding, and delivering high‑quality resident‑focused services.
