We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Youth Worker to join our dedicated team and support the personal and social development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emotional and social support to students, helping them manage personal and social challenges.
Support students' mental health and well-being, offering guidance and referring them to appropriate services when necessary.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create strategies that foster student growth and development.
Lead and facilitate group activities and workshops aimed at promoting positive behaviour, teamwork, and resilience.
Offer one-to-one support to students in need, helping them overcome barriers to learning and engagement.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages students to thrive academically and personally.
Promote respect, diversity, and inclusivity within the school community.
Key Requirements:
Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or community setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
A proactive, problem-solving approach with a focus on supporting students through personal challenges.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to work in a sensitive and non-judgmental way.
A genuine passion for supporting young people to reach their full potential.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Youth Work, Social Work, or Psychology) are desirable, but not essential.
