Events Assistant – The
Birley Clubs
An
exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events
Assistant to join the Member Events Team at The Birley Clubs based in Fitzrovia, London.
The Birley Clubs operate some of the world’s
most iconic private members’ clubs; Annabel’s, Mark’s Club, George, Harry’s Bar
and Bath & Racquets Club.
As
Events Assistant you will work
closely with the Creative Director, Director of Events, Event Project Managers
and Annabel’s, Mark’s Club, Harry’s Bar
and George teams to support the
management and delivery of Member events for our Clubs. Your primary focus will
be to support with administration, event planning, research and ad-hoc tasks
for Mark’s Club, George, and Harry’s Bar with occasional support required by
the Annabel’s team.
Your key responsibilities
will include:
* Assisting the team with daily administrative duties
* Working closely with the Club’s in-house teams to track event bookings
* Supporting the Director of Events in the planning and execution of
Member events
* Working within defined budgets and ensuring effective tracking of spend
on individual events for the Director of Events
* Effective communication with the teams in the Club when setting up
events, ensuring all operational aspects are in place and effective set up of
act / event / musician
* Research and propose events (music, cultural, themed) for each quarter
and present to the Creative Director and Director of Events
* Arrange equipment for events ensuring budgets are adhered to and
quality of suppliers
* Effective processing of invoices and ensure correct allocation ready
for sign off
* Attend events in the Club to ensure all runs smoothly and effective
communication with event provider, the operations team and Members
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, Club Managers, operational
team and Head Office
* Deliver Adhoc tasks as requested
We are ideally looking for
candidates who:
* Have previous experience in a similar role within the luxury
hospitality market
* Are strong communicators both verbally and in writing, ensuring a
professional and courteous manner at all times with Members, clients and
suppliers
* Have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise
tasks and efficiently manage the workload in order to meet deadlines
* Have strong administration skills and are excellent team players
* Are passionate about delivering high quality and unique events
* Have strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and related PC
packages
