This role is mainly remote, with occasional travel to our campuses to support University activities. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

About our Department
The SITS Systems Manager sits within our Quality and Registry team, which is the University's administration hub for our students. It is responsible for a wide range of functions, from governance through to student administration, marking and assessment. The team are also responsible for processing all results and grades for the students and produce all certificates that are awarded at the graduation ceremony.
The SITS system manages all of our student records and is one of the biggest and most important systems within the University, which makes this role crucial to Arden's growth and student experience.
About the Opportunity:
This is a busy and dynamic role that's responsible for the support and ongoing development of our SITS system, one of the most important systems within Arden. You'll be responsible for:
* Completing work packages, tasks, and processes in support of the SITS system.
* Working with the functional teams to learn, develop and maintain/improve business processes.
* Working with the University’s technical teams in providing SITS expertise.
* Day-to-day system tasks: de-duplication process, batch jobs monitoring, etc.
* Acting on user access requests to the SITS system.
* Providing first-line support for the SITS system within agreed timescales and referring onto specialist teams, or other experts, when limits of own expertise are reached.
* Developing and maintaining key relationships providing information and advice to academic and administrative staff at the University and Partner Institutions in relation to the SITS System in accordance with the University’s regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Utilising a range of IT systems, including SITS and Microsoft Office, to ensure student records are accurate and up to date, produce reports and provide an excellent information resource for all stakeholders.
* Developing solutions and process change in SITS and linked systems, working with business users, using technical skills, best practices, and business analyst techniques.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of the service by identifying opportunities for more effective working practices within the Academic Services Team.
* Liaising with external organisations such as Suppliers, Student Systems networks, SLC (Student Loan Company).
About You:
Essential requirements:
* Ability to understand and support bespoke applications.
* Ability to interpret and resolve technical issues.
* Working knowledge and experience of using and developing the Tribal SITS system.
* Working understanding of SRL Syntax for SITS/e: vision development.
* Experience of working in Higher Education and knowledge of the Student Lifecycle.
* Ability to interpret business requirements to develop an appropriate solution using best practices.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.
* Strong teamwork and proven communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
* Delegation skills to ensure operational requirements are met.
* Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge.
* Desire to learn new skills and the initiative to research unknown issues.
Desirable requirements:
* Project and change management skills.
* Awareness of Agile methodology or similar methods.
