Key Responsibilities
* Requirement Analysis & Modeling
o Translate business needs into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
o Develop and maintain metadata definitions, data dictionaries, and modeling standards.
* Design & Implementation
o Design and implement relational and dimensional models for OLTP, data warehousing, or data lake environments.
o Optimize models for performance, scalability, and normalization best practices.
* Model Governance
o Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with governance policies.
o Review and update existing data models to align with evolving data strategies.
* Collaboration & Communication
o Liaise with business analysts, data engineers, architects, and QA teams to deliver integrated data solutions.
o Present modeling approaches, decisions, and documentation to stakeholders.
* ETL & BI Support
o Partner with ETL and BI teams to define source-to-target mappings, migration strategies, and model-driven development.
o Assist with performance tuning and prototyping as needed.
* Continuous Improvement
o Keep abreast of latest data modeling tools, techniques, and best practices; introduce improvements to modeling methodologies
Provide training and mentorship to junior modelers or analysts
