You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,926 - £33,950 per annum, development opportunities in line with our company progression scheme, standby and overtime, and a range of excellent company benefits + rewards.About the Role:As a Network Maintenance Technician, no day will be the same when you provide high quality customer service and maintain strong relationships with various key stakeholders. You’ll use your skills, knowledge and experience to provide crucial operational maintenance to assets including service reservoirs and PRVs and to provide general maintenance to sites and buildings. You will also support activities within the Network Service Delivery teams. This team is scheduled to participate in the standby and call out rotas and this is something that will be expected of you once you have finished your training.
What You'll be Doing:
1. Ensuring that the Health, Safety & Security policies and standards are always adhered to
2. Undertaking maintenance tasks on all Network assets and premises to ensure they are maintained, serviceable, and operationally efficient
3. Working in accordance with all associated QMS procedures and ensuring an awareness of them is maintained through self-learning/understanding
4. Being aware of and compliant with all requirements to protect the environment because of maintenance activities
5. Supporting the effective delivery of supply interruption mitigation techniques - active involvement in planned and reactive deployment in and out of hours
6. Supporting and undertaking other activities within the Water Distribution network to ensure its operation
7. Carrying out all tasks in such a way that contamination is prevented and understanding what action to take in the event of contamination or a suspected contamination
8. Participating in standard standby and call out rotas as necessary to maintain the effective delivery of Drinking Water Service
9. Undertaking, always, the provision of good relations with customers, public authorities, other bodies, and colleagues by working within the required levels of customer service
10. Service reservoir cleaning, confined space entry required
What We Are Looking For:
11. Full UK B driving license, B+E (Desired)
12. Good general standard of education with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths
13. EUSR Water Hygiene Certificate (Desired)
14. Proven experience of working within a water supply environment
15. A demonstrable capability to maintain buildings and structures
16. Proven track record of working to deadlines
17. Previous experience working on own initiative and/or working as part of a team
18. Proven experience of providing high quality internal and external Customer Service
