Protocol Education
Facilitator
Posted: 26 January
Offer description

Protocol Education are looking for a kind, patient and proactive Positive Behaviour Facilitator to join a openhearted Primary school in South Bristol, starting as soon as possible.

This is a truly rewarding, person-centred role, supporting children with additional learning needs to feel safe, understood and confident in the classroom. You may be working with pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD or other learning differences that can affect behaviour or access to learning. Every day is about helping children feel seen, supported and able to succeed in their own way.

The school is keen to welcome someone caring and intuitive, someone who can build trusting relationships and provide calm, consistent support to help pupils manage emotions, behaviour and learning.

We’ve seen great success in this role from people with backgrounds in Youth Work, care or hospital settings, creative subjects, psychology or sociology. If you’re curious and want to know whether this could be the right next step for you, we’d love to chat it through.

The role includes:

1. Providing 1:1 support to pupils who may need extra help accessing the curriculum
2. Adapting learning alongside the class teacher so pupils can feel confident and achieve success
3. Communicating professionally with staff, colleagues and parents or carers when needed
4. Acting as a positive role model and using the school’s reward systems fairly and consistently
5. Supporting pupils to develop positive behaviours and overcome barriers to learning using clear, calm behaviour strategies

About you:

6. Calm, resilient and steady when faced with challenging situations
7. Positive, enthusiastic and happy to get involved in classroom life
8. Flexible and adaptable to the natural flow of a school day
9. Experience working with SEMH, ASD, ADHD or SEN, professionally or personally
10. A genuine passion for supporting children with a range of learning needs
11. Creative and open-minded, happy to think differently to help learning click

Why work with Protocol Education?

12. Competitive pay (£89 - £94 per day, paid weekly via PAYE)
13. Flexible work to fit around your life and commitments
14. Guaranteed work agreements for consistency and peace of mind
15. Ongoing CPD, including opportunities during school holidays
16. Friendly guidance from our team to help you find your perfect role
17. £50 refer-a-friend bonus

What We Need to Get You Started?

18. Passport
19. Two proofs of address, such as driving licence, utility bill or council tax letter
20. CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
21. Two years of references, including SEN or childcare where applicable
22. OSPC if you have lived overseas for three months or more in the last five years

If this sounds like a role you’d genuinely enjoy and feel passionate about, get in touch today. We’d love to hear from you.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
