Position summary
We are seeking a photogrammetry specialist to assist us with the Q.Fly® drone imaging platform post processing flow end to end: ingesting flight logs and GNSS events; running PPK/RTK and validating absolute accuracy against GCPs; performing SfM/MVS with rigorous camera calibration, seamline optimization, and radiometric balancing; and delivering orthomosaics, DSM/DTM, and point clouds with clear QA (RMSE, reprojection error, GSD). You should be fluent in Pix4D/Metashape (or similar), RTKLIB and QGIS/ArcGIS, comfortable scripting Python/Bash to automate pipelines at scale, and able to publish COG/WMTS/XYZ tiles or web map visualizations for stakeholders. Knowledge of mission planning and multispectral/SWIR workflows is a plus.
What you’ll bring
* GNSS/IMU mastery: PPK/RTK processing (e.g., RINEX, event markers), camera GNSS time sync, antenna offsets, and accuracy validation against GCPs/CPs; strong grasp of CRS/geoids and datum/projection transforms.
* Q.Fly workflow fluency: Parsing Q.Fly flight logs, aligning trigger events to imagery, troubleshooting missed/duplicate triggers, and verifying metadata integrity (EXIF, timestamps).
* Photogrammetric processing: Feature matching, bundle adjustment, camera/lens calibration (IO/EO, distortion models), dense reconstruction (SfM/MVS), and robust seamline optimization/deghosting.
* Image stitching & mosaicking: Building high‑quality orthomosaics/GeoTIFFs with consistent radiometry and color balance; producing DSM/DTM/point clouds (LAS/LAZ) and documenting RMSE/reprojection error/GSD.
* Software toolchain: Proficiency with Pix4D/Metashape/RealityCapture or OpenDroneMap; GNSS tools (e.g., RTKLIB); GIS (QGIS/ArcGIS Pro); point‑cloud QA (CloudCompare).
* Visualization & delivery: Creating orthomosaic visualizations as COGs/WMTS/XYZ tile pyramids; publishing to QGIS/ArcGIS dashboards or web maps (Leaflet/Mapbox) and lightweight 3D viewers where useful.
* Automation & scale: Scripting (Python/Bash) to batch pipelines, CLI operation of photogrammetry tools, GPU/compute management, containerization (Docker), and data versioning.
* Data stewardship & QA: Large‑dataset organization, checksum/metadata hygiene, acceptance criteria, accuracy reports, and reproducible SOP documentation.
* Field‑aware judgment (nice‑to‑have): Mission planning insights (overlap/sidelap, GSD targets, shutter speed/exposure), radiometric targets, and sensor quirks; multispectral/SWIR handling is a plus.
* Collaboration: Clear written reporting, issue tracking, and cross‑team coordination with flight ops and GIS consumers.
