We are looking for a skilled Electrical or Mechanical Technician with experience in complex estates to join our clients Estates Engineering Team and play a vital role in keeping essential services running safely and reliably, 24/7.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, hands-on technician who wants to use their expertise to support patient care across a large, diverse estate.
As a key member of our Estates Engineering Team, you will work on a shift rota with on-call duties, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across multiple hospital sites. You will:
* Respond to breakdowns, emergencies and engineering requests
* Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance on a wide range of plant, including:
* Generators, fire alarms, lighting and power systems
* Boilers, air-handling units, chiller plant
* Medical gas systems
* Hot and cold-water networks, calorifiers, distribution boards
* Diagnose complex faults and carry out repairs independently
* Support installation, refurbishment and building fabric works
* Complete risk assessments for medium- and high-risk tasks
* Ensure full compliance with statutory and Trust health & safety requirements
You’ll be a confident, experienced engineer who can work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. Essential requirements include:
* Recognised qualification as an Electrical or Mechanical Technician
* Strong practical experience working on a wide range of estates plant
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and manuals
* Commitment to safe working practices and high-quality xsngvjr workmanship
* Ability to travel between sites (using own or Trust vehicle)
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
