Role Summary
Associate Sales/Supply Service Representative (SSR) – IMCD UK Ltd, Sutton, Surrey. Hours: 37.5 h per week (Mon‑Fri). Salary: Competitive. Company: IMCD N.V., global distributor of speciality chemicals.
Background & Role
IMCD UK employs over 300 people. As an SSR you are the first point of contact for customers and suppliers, building strong relationships and delivering excellent service both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for customers regarding order placement.
* Receive customer orders mainly by email/phone and enter them into the ERP system.
* Handle queries related to pricing and delivery delays.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues.
* Follow best practice in relation to IMCD goals and values.
* Resolve customer complaints such as damaged or delayed deliveries.
* Manage workload efficiently, keeping ERP data up to date.
* Support team working and collaboration.
* When required, perform purchasing side tasks: place supplier purchase orders, maintain stock levels, manage purchase order queries, handle supplier queries, and work with third‑party warehouses.

* Excellent communication skills – competent in phone and email.
* Resilient, multitask, work under pressure and adapt to challenging situations.
* Solutions‑focused, resourceful, able to assess situations quickly and implement solutions.
* Can‑do attitude, initiative, common sense, willing to support the wider team.
* Team player, supportive of colleagues.
* Highly numerate, comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets.
* IT skills – basic Word, Excel, and email; training will be provided on JDEdwards & Salesforce.
* Administration experience appreciated, not essential.
* GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grade C or higher.
