The Role
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate individual to help us change lives for people experiencing homelessness. As a Support Worker you will work in our accommodation and community‑based services in Swadlincote, providing housing‑related support to adults experiencing homelessness. You will act as a key worker, encouraging positive and healthy lifestyles and assisting individuals in developing skills for independent living. You will be responsible for devising support plans and risk assessment.
Responsibilities
 * Provide support in community and hostel settings, including sleep‑in shifts
 * Develop and implement individualized support plans
 * Carry out risk assessments and manage safeguarding protocols
 * Collaborate with local agencies and partners to deliver multi‑agency care
 * Travel across the region to deliver community support as required
 * Provide cover on short notice, including nights, weekends and bank holidays
 * Maintain accurate records and documentation
 * Support clients to develop skills for independent living
Qualifications
 * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
 * Experience working with homeless or vulnerable adults preferred
 * Empathy, calmness and strong interpersonal skills
 * Ability to handle potentially challenging situations and maintain composure
 * Commissioned assessment for Disclosure & Barring Services (enhanced check)
