Were looking for a talented Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Widnes site. Working Monday to Friday, although some flexibility is required to cover holidays. Pay, benefits and more: Were looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What youll do on a typical day: To ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism Ensures that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information to both internal and external customers as required e.g. debrief of drivers, dealing with customer issues etc. To ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken in line with legislative requirements To ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety requirements highlighting any concerns to line management Conduct relevant QHSE activities: Care Cards, Bsafe, Safety Conversations etc To ensure trunk operation sheet is up to date. To maintain and work through defect logs where applicable Raise defects and follow defect process To identify and highlight to management any potential improvement opportunities To demonstrate the Company Values in the undertaking of their role To undertake any other reasonable task as required To always display the highest standards of customer service To undertake any relevant training events in line with own personal development needs and business requirements What you need to succeed at XPO: Experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution office environment (preferred but not essential) Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks Confident using transport systems and Microsoft Office (training provided where needed) Good communication skills with drivers, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams A proactive attitude and willingness to learn wider transport and supervisory duties Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines Be part of something big.
