Job Description:
As a Sporting Coordinator, you will be responsible for the operational and sporting coordination of the Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC). You will support the organization and development of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), contributing to its strategic evolution and excellence worldwide. You will report to the WRC Category Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Sporting Coordination – WRC:
o Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (ASNs, organizers, WRC consultants)
o Manage championship registrations and monitor event registrations
o Oversee accreditation processes
o Ensure accuracy and compliance of official documents
o Propose improvements to enhance WRC and JWRC visibility
2. Event Support – JWRC (max 6 events/year):
o Act as FIA Championship coordinator during JWRC events
o Assess on-site conditions and services for competitors
o Prepare reports post-events
o Serve as liaison with stakeholders
3. Delegate Coordination:
o Coordinate communication with FIA delegates and consultants
4. Reporting:
o Collect reports from FIA officials
o Support governance and regulatory processes
o Assist in WRC Commission meetings preparation
o Draft and follow up on sporting regulations
o Organize FIA seminars and summits
5. Championship Calendar Management:
o Monitor and review calendar submissions from ASNs
6. Communication and Website Coordination:
o Update and publish championship info on fia.com
o Update standings and classifications
7. Profile:
o Degree in Sports Management or related field
o Strong rallying knowledge
o Experience as co-driver, team coordinator, or event organizer is an asset
o FIA regulations familiarity
o Legal and governance knowledge is a plus
o Fluent in English; French or Spanish is a plus
o Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (a plus)
o Excellent communication skills
o Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask
