About the role
Key details:
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, 37.5 hours per week
* Wage: £7.55 per hour
* Location: Pencalenick School, Truro, Cornwall. TR1 1TE
* Apprenticeship Standard: Level 2 or 3 Accounts Assistant
* Expected Duration: 18 months
Overview of the role:
As an Accounts Apprentice you will be expected to complete a broad range of duties in order to assist with the general running and procedures within the central office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the central office team and school administrators with day-to-day tasks.
* Handle and process various documents with accuracy and confidentiality.
* Answer telephone calls and assist with queries or direct to the appropriate staff member.
* Welcome visitors to the office, determine their needs, and direct them accordingly.
* Offer refreshments to visitors attending meetings (e.g. tea or coffee).
* Perform general administrative duties including filing and data entry.
* Manage and record daily post.
* Respond to queries related to the Accounts Apprentice role as they arise.
Apprenticeship Summary:
* You will work towards your Level 2 or 3 Accounts Assistant qualification across a total duration of 18 months!

* All online/remote learning, no classroom or college day release
* An allocated tutor will support you throughout the apprenticeship!

Skills & Personal Qualities Required:
* Be flexible and able to prioritise a changing to-do list
* Detail orientated and accurate
* Articulate and a good communicator
* Good with English (verbally and written)
* Proficient in using a computer (Outlook, Word, Excel essential)
* Excellent teamwork skills
* Friendly and Helpful to all staff and visitors
* Trustworthy and reliable
* Self-motivated
Qualifications Required:
* GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) essential
* GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) essential
