Overview
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support our Emergency Department team. The role requires a patient‑focused approach with the flexibility to perform observations, outpatient care, and supplementary duties as the department demands.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide patient‑focused care throughout the Emergency Department, rotating through observations in the waiting area, supplementary care in the ward, and other duties as required.
* Protect patient privacy and dignity, ensuring all personal information remains confidential in accordance with Trust policies.
* Report any untoward incidents or occurrences to the Nurse in Charge promptly.
* Deliver care with the highest degree of professionalism, presenting a positive and appropriate appearance that reflects the Trust’s image.
* Participate in an annual performance review with the Ward Manager to identify personal development needs.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records in line with Trust policies and procedures.
* Attend annual fire safety and lifting & handling training, and ensure all HCA training requirements are completed.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Hands‑on experience in Health Care; Emergency Department experience is desirable.
* Relevant UK experience and availability to commence employment immediately or within a short timeframe.
* Willingness to work towards obtaining the Care Certificate Qualification.
