Fixed Term Position

Overview
An exciting opportunity to lead the clinical delivery of a pioneering trauma‑informed Music Therapy programme in North West Wales.
This role includes the delivery of Music Therapy services within primary schools, specifically supporting children who are at high risk of requiring specialist CAMHS intervention.
We are seeking a results‑driven and flexible HCPC registered Music Therapist who would enjoy being part of a dynamic, forward‑thinking pilot initiative. Excellent clinical supervision and CPD provision with opportunities to develop your clinical interests in trauma‑informed practice.
Responsibilities
* Assessing the clients’ clinical needs, particularly children affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
* Implementing appropriate specialist intervention through weekly 1:1 trauma‑informed music therapy sessions.
* Establishing clear lines of communication in respect of client care within a variety of multi‑professional school well‑being and paediatric teams.
* Collecting and compiling clinical data using validated tools (e.g., CORS, SDQ, PASS) for evaluation and long‑term commissioning.
Main duties of the job
* Developing, implementing, maintaining and cascading Music Therapy clinical standards in line with current evidence based best practice
* Developing a competency based framework for practitioners working within the specialist area
* Critical analysis, appraisal and synthesis of current research outcomes and/or relevant literature in order to maintain expert levels of knowledge and practice
* Establish working partnerships with voluntary, third sector services as appropriate.
* Actively participating in developing services as part of a national and local clinical network.
* Develop care pathways, local clinical standards, guidelines and protocols informed by evidence for specialist area.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary
£50,129 to £57,365 a year per annum pro rata.
