The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Hydraulic Hoses Engineer will provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of hydraulic hoses, pumps, valves, pipes, and related products across a range of engineering industries. The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Hydraulic Hoses Engineer will ideally have hands-on experience in mechanical domains and the hydraulics and hoses industry. Package £30,000 - £38,000 Company van Commission & bonus 24 days holiday plus bank holidays Company pension Overtime Additional benefits Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Hydraulic Hoses Engineer Role To provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of hydraulic hoses and associated products across engineering sectors. Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide diagnostics and fault finding of hydraulic equipment at customer sites and the depot. Install, replace, and maintain hydraulic hoses, pumps, valves, and pipework in various industrial environments. Perform emergency breakdown repairs and troubleshooting on-site. Liaise with multiple engineering departments and support wider service and installation teams. Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Hydraulic Hoses Engineer Requirements Proven service and maintenance skills within mechanical engineering environments. Experience as a Trainee Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Entry Level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar. Ideally hands-on experience with hydraulics, hoses, pumps, valves, and pipes. Mechanical engineering background preferred. Full UK driver’s licence. Flexibility to travel to customer sites across Durham and surrounding areas. A background in hydraulic systems and fluid power is advantageous.
