Senior Youth Worker (Health and Equalities)
Permanent, 36.5 hours per week, salary £38,757 – £41,755.
You’ll be based at the Lighthouse and have a city‑wide brief.
Responsibilities
* Deliver youth provision from youth centres, schools, and localities across Birmingham with a focus on Health and Equalities.
* Lead and develop a team of youth workers, apprentices and volunteers.
* Develop and maintain strong partnerships with relevant organisations.
* Ensure implementation of systems across Birmingham Youth Service.
* Collaborate with other SYWs and stakeholders to promote creative partnerships and improve outcomes for young people.
* Contribute to planning and performance management across the delivery team.
* Inspire and motivate best provision to young people.
Qualifications
* Degree level in Youth Work with a JNC qualification.
* Significant experience in managing and leading staff in youth work delivery.
* Strong understanding of relevant policies, practices and national frameworks.
* Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage conflicting demands and work under pressure.
