Year 5 | Two-Form Entry | January Start
A thriving Tower Hamlets primary school is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to take on a Year 5 class from January 2026. About the Role
As the incoming Primary Teacher, you will:
Lead a motivated Year 5 class with a focus on building confidence ahead of upper KS2
Work closely with the parallel teacher to plan engaging, well-structured lessons
Deliver high-quality teaching in core subjects, with strong preparation for end-of-year outcomes
Contribute to a reflective, collaborative KS2 team that shares resources and good practice
Use clear routines and positive behaviour strategies to maintain a purposeful learning environment
The school is known for its calm atmosphere, diverse community, and commitment to inclusion.
Candidate Requirements
The successful Primary Teacher will bring:
Strong, recent lower or upper KS2 classroom experience
Confident delivery of the Year 5 curriculum, including writing, arithmetic, and reasoning
Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills
High expectations for progress, participation, and presentation
A reflective approach and willingness to work closely with colleagues
Both experienced teachers and strong ECTs with relevant KS2 placements are welcome to apply.
Contract Details
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential for extension or permanency)
Hours: Standard teaching timetable with allocated PPA
Pay: Competitive MPS daily rate (dependent on experience)
