Senior Quantity Surveyor
M5 Corridor between Gloucester and Bristol

The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a portfolio of large-scale logistics developments across the M5 corridor. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites, delivering complex civil infrastructure and highways packages for a leading main contractor. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of civil and highways works across several major logistics schemes. This is a dynamic position requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple packages simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the commercial delivery of civil infrastructure and highways packages across multiple sites
* Manage budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasting across projects
* Administer NEC contracts, including compensation events and variations
* Lead subcontract procurement, negotiation, and account management
* Monitor and report on project performance, risks, and opportunities
* Work closely with operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are met
* Provide clear and accurate reporting to senior management
* Mentor and support junior commercial staff where required
Requirements
* Strong experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure, or highways
* Proven track record managing multiple projects or sites simultaneously
* Excellent knowledge of NEC forms of contract
* Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
* Degree qualified or working towards a professional qualification (e.g., RICS)
