The Role Reporting directly to the Finance Director and leading a small team, you’ll oversee day-to-day finance operations, but also play a key role in shaping wider business strategy. Expect involvement in a broad spectrum of activity, including: Leading on external audit, year-end accounts and statutory requirements Driving improvements across systems, reporting and processes Owning the annual budget and business planning cycle Contributing to pricing, product strategy and commercial reviews Presenting to Board and playing a lead role in Finance-related governance Line managing and developing a small team of part-qualified finance staff This is not a siloed role - it’s commercial, visible and full of variety. What we’re looking for A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical grounding Hands-on finance leadership experience, ideally in a regulated or complex environment Experience preparing year-end accounts and leading on external audit A confident communicator who enjoys engaging with senior stakeholders and the wider business Someone naturally curious, proactive and keen to make improvements A balanced, thoughtful leader - equally focused on performance and people Why this role?
