The Role – What You’ll Do
Deliver engaging and well-structured Business lessons across KS4–KS5, ensuring lessons meet current specification standards (AQA/Edexcel).
Use effective assessment for learning, feedback, and data-driven strategies to ensure exceptional progress.
Support enrichment initiatives such as Young Enterprise, entrepreneurship clubs, and guest speaker events.
Contribute to curriculum development, exam preparation, and departmental planning.
Maintain high expectations for student engagement, progress, and behaviour.
Play an active role in the wider school community, supporting open days, Sixth Form events, and careers guidance.
Person Specification
Essential
Degree in Business or a closely related field.
QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) with experience teaching at KS4 and/or KS5.
Strong subject knowledge in key Business areas such as marketing, finance, and strategy.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.
Desirable
Experience teaching AQA or Edexcel at GCSE/A-Level.
Evidence of raising attainment and delivering excellent outcomes.
Experience leading enterprise or enrichment programmes.
Willingness to contribute to Economics or related subject areas.
