Senior Business Change Manager/Developer
Balfour Beatty plc is hiring for a Senior Business Change Manager/Developer to lead change initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and develop products to improve alliance practices, safety and environment monitoring, and support the delivery of KRAs. The role requires extensive knowledge of change activities and the tools/techniques used in past projects, and a commitment to promoting continuous business improvements for the Alliance.
What you'll be doing
* Identify and implement innovative processes, techniques, methodologies and equipment for delivery of national programmes while maintaining compliance with standards and Network Rail’s safety case and governance.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to agree an implementation plan for proposed processes, techniques and methodologies for new innovations.
* Work with teams and stakeholders to establish effective relationships and implement continuous improvements that provide quality and efficiency gains.
* Coordinate and implement projects, processes and procedures for the depot and manage CI ideas from depot teams.
* Keep the Head of Innovation and Continuous Improvement and the Programme Delivery Manager updated on live projects.
* Produce dashboards illustrating the depot’s CI program initiatives and projected efficiencies.
* Articulate new initiatives to the Track Executive as requested; support the programme team and encourage CI innovations to meet business objectives.
* Provide advice on implementing new CI strategies to improve cost, time, safety and quality measures.
* Provide CI updates for the portfolio of works.
Who we're looking for
* Strong software development experience with C#/C++ (especially UI development) and strong SQL knowledge.
* Ideally holds a programme management and delivery qualification (e.g., MSP, APM, AGILE).
* Experience in solution & product development including Microsoft Power Platform and PowerApps.
* Understanding of how to implement business change, outcome-based delivery, and business process automation.
* Experience in solution delivery/implementation and service transition, plus business process and operational analysis.
* Strong communication skills at all levels from depot to executive.
* Appreciation of business, product and data lifecycle and how information assets and data are interacted with.
The following qualities/experience are desirable
* Proven record delivering continuous improvement and innovation in the rail industry.
* Understanding of information & data governance and master data management.
* Experience reporting and developing PowerBI dashboards.
* Understanding of BIM and the information lifecycle; appreciation of metadata in automation.
