Post-Doctoral Research Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Research Assistant aiding the development of an organ-platform. The post is funded through a collaborative project between the RVC and Forcefield Therapeutics for initially one year, with potential for extension.
The successful candidate will work on aiding the development of precision cut heart slices from pigs to assess the impact of cardio-protective compounds on slices exposed to various conditions. The work forms part of a translational approach, with result informing not only potential human work but also work performed in other veterinary species.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in heart physiology and some background in organ platforms and will be in charge of driving the project with the aid of a Research Technicians.
The post is envisaged to start in October, with a salary band ranging from £40, and £51, (inclusive of London Weighting) based on experience. The successful candidate will be part of the new Centre for Vaccinology and Regenerative Medicine, based on the Hawkshead Campus of the RVC (
