The Service & Team:
The Finance Analyst Team form part of the Finance Service within Finance & Assurance.
The Role:
This role will:
* Lead on the development of financial modelling for business cases:
* Provide advice on the financial implications of options and proposals:
* Support with the submission of Corporate returns;
* Identify areas for improvement and support in delivering change;
* Provide financial assurance.
This position will be subject to a basic criminal record disclosure check.
What you'll need to succeed:
You will need to be a qualified accountant with excellent technical accounting experience and strong modelling skills. You will need to manage stakeholders at all levels, so we are looking for (but it is not essential):
* Experience of green book business cases;
* Experience of Local Government technical accounting;
* Experience of using and analysing data from various systems.
We need a self-disciplined individual with strong interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and good communication skills. You will be a proactive, collaborative, organised individual who is happy to manage their own work and willing to support colleagues as required.
