An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Conveyancing Senior Solicitor or Associate to join a leading team in Aberdeen. This role offers exposure to high‑quality residential property work, including sale and purchase transactions, remortgages, transfers of title, and associated private client matters such as wills, powers of attorney, and discharges of standard security.
You will work closely with clients throughout the conveyancing process, managing your own caseload while supporting the day‑to‑day running of the branch. This position is ideal for candidates looking to build significant experience within a busy practice and contribute to maintaining a strong reputation within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
1. Advise clients on offers received for their properties and take instructions.
2. Provide advice on offers to be submitted for properties clients wish to purchase.
3. Guide clients through the sale and purchase process and ensure it is as straightforward as possible.
4. Examine title deeds and report to clients and lenders on any issues.
5. Draft legal documents relevant to residential conveyancing matters.
6. Oversee conveyancing paralegals and property staff within the branch.
7. Mentor trainee solicitors and junior members of the team.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ PQE level in a Residential Conveyancing department and be able to manage their workload with a high degree of independence. Strong communication skills, excellent organisational ability, and previous client‑facing experience are essential.
