Join Bluebird Care, a leading home care provider, as a Senior Care Expert. You'll deliver high-quality care while mentoring new staff and supporting care assessments. This is a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care and administer medication
Support customers with daily personal hygiene, mobility, and ensure safe and accurate medication handling.
* Promote wellbeing and independence
Encourage customers to live fulfilling lives by supporting their routines, hobbies, and independence at home.
* Support care assessments and reviews
Assist with creating and updating care plans, working alongside care supervisors to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
* Mentor new team members and supervise field performance
Guide new staff through training, shadowing, and on-the-job learning, while carrying out performance observations to maintain standards.
* Take part in the out-of-hours rota
Be available for occasional on-call support, offering advice or assistance outside of regular working hours when needed.
What You’ll Need:
* Full UK driving licence & own vehicle (required)
Reliable transport is essential for visiting customers in their homes across the local area.
* 1+ year care experience (required)
Proven experience delivering care in a professional setting, with a strong understanding of customer needs.
* Supervisory experience & NVQ Level 2 (preferred)
Previous leadership or mentoring experience is desirable, along with a formal qualification in Health & Social Care.
* Compassionate, confident, and adaptable
A caring nature, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and flexible in changing situations.
