Salary: GBP 40,000 – 50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Role: My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Chemical Engineer with a strong background in Design to join their team in Hertfordshire on a permanent basis.
Qualifications
* Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
* 2.4 years or more of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong design skills with the ability to design new processes.
* Background in Water / Chemical / O & G / Aerospace related industries would also be ideal.
* Proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, etc.
* Knowledge of a variety of materials and manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication, etc.
* Strong project management skills.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills.
* Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work well individually as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
* Designing processes for equipment integration.
* Solving problems and improving engineering processes.
* Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans.
* Updating 3D models and drawings.
* Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs.
* Liaising with other departments to manage such projects.
* Liaising with manufacturing providers.
* Ensuring quality and H & S standards are met.
* Designing equipment layouts.
* Maintaining technical documentation as required.
* Working in a small multidisciplinary team on varied projects.
