Rutherford Cross is delighted to be exclusively partnered with its property client to appoint a Part-time Finance Manager for a period of up to 12 months. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Control: Prepare accurate and timely quarterly management accounts, including analysis and commentary Oversee the production of annual financial statements in line with statutory requirements Ensure strong financial controls and processes across the business Maintain the integrity of financial data and accounting records Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis Support cash-flow planning and financial modelling as required Year-End & External Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for external accountants Liaise with company accountants to ensure a smooth and efficient year-end process Prepare and coordinate all information required for audit and statutory filings Finance Function Leadership: Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function Review and improve finance systems, processes, and controls as the business grows Provide guidance and oversight to transactional finance staff Strategic Planning & Business Support: Support Directors with strategic planning, financial analysis, and decision-making Provide insight into investment performance, asset management activities, and growth initiatives Contribute to long-term financial strategy and business planning Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role Strong technical accounting knowledge, including management and statutory accounts Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Ability to manage multiple deadlines and operate in a hands-on role Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with Directors and external advisors Personal Attributes: Commercially minded with strong analytical skills Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a growth-phase business Detail-oriented with a strategic perspective Confident decision-maker with a collaborative approach For more information on this role, please contact Euan Bodie at Rutherford Cross.
