Personal Care Assistant - School Setting (Worksop) Start Date: 23rd February 2026 Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to support pupils within a Primary School in Worksop. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to ensuring children with additional needs receive the highest standard of care, dignity, and support throughout the school day. Main Duties: Provide bespoke personal care support to an individual pupil, including hygiene, toileting, changing, and mobility assistance where required. * Support the pupil in accessing learning by working closely with teaching staff and following their personalised support plan. * Promote independence, confidence, and emotional well-being wherever possible. * Ensure the pupil's safety, comfort, and dignity at all times. * Assist with medical or physical needs in line with training and school policies (e.g., feeding, equipment use, supervision). * Maintain accurate, confidential records as required. * Build strong, supportive relationships with staff, parents/carers, and relevant professionals. * Report concerns to the appropriate person (Teacher, SENCO, DSL) while maintaining confidentiality. * Contribute positively to the school community and work effectively as part of a team. * Uphold all safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour policies and procedures. Person Specification: Essential: * Experience supporting children or young people, preferably in a school or care environment. * Genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional or complex needs. * A calm, friendly, and flexible approach. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team. * Physically and mentally able to carry out personal care duties. Desirable: * A relevant qualification in care, education, or support (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health & Social Care). * Experience with manual handling, personal care, or supporting children with SEND.
