Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Contract & Performance Manager to join the Northern Ireland Housing Executive in Belfast. This role is key to ensuring effective contract governance, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining high-quality service delivery across construction and asset-related programmes. About the role:
1. £23.37 per hour
2. Monday to Friday (9.00am - 5.00pm)
3. 37 hours a week
4. Holidays: 38 days pro rata
5. Duration: Temporary, ongoing

What you'll be doing in this role:
7. To prepare appropriate business cases, tenders and quotations, in line with financial and procurement regulations, policies and procedures and corporate timescales.
8. To provide a high level of internal and external customer service including taking ownership of customer queries and complaints and following issues through to completion.
9. To instil and promote an ethos of continuous improvement within the Contract and Performance Team, so that current performance standards can be challenged and improved through new ways of working, without compromising service delivery or control.
10. To ensure continued and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
11. To represent the Assistant Director Project Delivery as required.
12. To undertake the duties in such a way as to enhance and protect the reputation and public profile of NIHE.
13. To comply with and enforce all NIHE frameworks, policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to legal requirements such as equality, health and safety and information governance.
What you'll need for this role:
14. Possess a degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in a construction related field.
15. OR can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning and least 5 years working in a construction role.
16. Should either be chartered in one of the recognised Building Professions or must be committed to either attaining a relevant qualification or Chartered membership of a professional body agreed by the Director of Asset.
17. 5 years relevant experience working in the construction industry in the last 5 years, 3 years of which must include managing, overseeing and or reporting contractual key performance indicators within construction contracts.
18. Possess a current driving licence or have access to a form of transport that will permit the candidate to meet requirements of the post in full.
19. As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
