Fintech Meetup Europe is the most efficient way for the region’s fintech ecosystem to connect, learn, and do business. Built by the team behind Fintech Meetup USA, this launch brings our meetings model to Europe with a hosted meetings programme for fintech, paytech, banking, and financial services. Hosted participants attend for free and commit to up to eight 1:1 meetings, delivering measurable value for attendees and sponsors.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Head of Community is responsible for building and delivering the hosted buyer programme for Fintech Meetup Europe, focused on recruiting high-quality decision-makers from three core segments: 1) Banks & Financial Institutions, 2) Retailers & Merchants, and 3) Investors. This is a senior, hands-on role at the heart of our go-to-market and attendee strategy. You’ll lead hosted recruitment from data building and outreach to qualification and onboarding, working closely with Content, Marketing, and Sales to align community development with the wider launch strategy. Our hosted buyer programme drives the majority of onsite meetings and ROI for partners, and your work will influence the event’s quality, credibility, and commercial success.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
* Build and execute a full recruitment strategy to secure 650+ hosted buyers and investors
* Develop and deliver outreach to Banks, Retailers & Merchants, and Investors segments
* Own the hosted journey: prospecting, qualification, onboarding, and pre-event comms
* Use tools like Clay, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo to build and manage segment data pipelines
* Work with Sales and Category leads to align hosted categories with sponsor needs
* Partner with Content and Marketing to drive visibility and attract high-quality participants
* Collaborate with Ops and Attendee Experience teams to ensure a seamless hosted programme (including reimbursements, logistics, and platform performance)
* Track progress, identify gaps, and course-correct to meet targets ahead of key deadlines
* Represent hosted buyer interests in internal planning and strategy discussions
* Support onsite delivery of the hosted experience, including meetings management and attendee engagement
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
* 8+ years’ experience in hosted buyer/VIP recruitment, event attendance campaigns, or community engagement
* Strong track record building B2B communities or hosted programmes from scratch
* Deep understanding of fintech, banking, retail/commerce, or venture capital
* Proven ability to engage senior decision-makers and communicate a compelling value proposition
* Experience working in CRM or outreach tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Clay, etc.)
* Highly organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and pipeline hygiene
* Analytical thinker able to monitor, adapt, and improve outreach strategies
* Comfortable in a high-growth or launch environment; resourceful, resilient, and able to operate independently
* A relationship-first mindset with a high EQ and passion for building long-term communities
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
* The salary band for this position ranges from £75,000 - £90,000 based on experience
* This position will be eligible for a competitive commission structure
