A well-established food manufacturing site is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support site operations by maintaining and improving production equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role involves a mix of mechanical and electrical maintenance, including both reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and supporting continuous improvement across the site. Hours 4 on / 4 off - Days and Nights - 6am - 6pm / 6pm-6am The Role of a Maintenance Engineer: Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance on a range of food processing equipment including filling machines, pumps, spiral freezers, steam kettles, metal detectors, and depositors Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults Complete repairs and modifications to machinery as required Perform PPM tasks and accurately report findings Record all maintenance activities using a CMMS (Shires) Identify and request required spare parts through the Engineering Buyer Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and food manufacturing standards Build strong working relationships with operations and area leads Complete all required safety and technical compliance documentation Liaise with Engineering and Maintenance Managers regarding foreseeable issues and improvement opportunities Knowledge & Skills of a Maintenance Eng...
