Demonstrate increasing independence as skills develop Apply feedback from mentors and assessors Professional Conduct Candidates should: Communicate respectfully with learners, families, and colleagues Maintain appropriate boundaries, safeguarding awareness, and confidentiality Work effectively as part of a teaching team Willingness to Learn and Grow Successful swim teachers typically show: A positive attitude and enthusiasm for the role Openness to new ideas and teaching A genuine desire to support learners’ confidence and skill development Commitment to continuous professional development beyond the course Repayment Cost of Course Please note that Falkirk Council may seek repayment of costs if you do not complete the qualification, leave the Council’s service while undertaking the qualification, leave the Council’s service within 12 months of completing the qualification or leave the Council’s service within 13–24 months of completing the qualification.
