Job Purpose To implement and deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students. To support a designated curriculum area as appropriate. To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/Form Tutor. To facilitate and encourage a learning experience that enables students to achieve their individual potential. To contribute to raising standards of student attainment. To share in and support the school’s responsibility for promoting both personal and academic growth. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Support students as a Form Tutor, including pastoral responsibilities. Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning. Encourage and support student involvement in extracurricular activities. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Mathematics or a related subject. Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary school level. Strong classroom management skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desirable: Experience delivering GCSE and/or A-Level Mathematics. A track record of raising student attainment. Experience as a Form Tutor. Ability to contribute to extracurricular programmes. Personal Qualities Enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about Mathematics education. Innovative and creative in lesson delivery. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
