As the Clinical Specialist within the team you will be responsible for delivery of clinical services, service development and clinical support and supervision across the team, working alongside the team lead OT. You will manage a defined clinical caseload alongside and work closely with other clinical colleagues across the Trust.
* Establish and manage a complex clinical caseload as appropriate to the service
* To influence, lead and manage the acute Occupational Therapy service ensuring high level clinical intervention and evidenced based care.
* To work collaboratively with other clinicians, including medical and nursing staff to influence service development and ensure quality of care is delivered
* To provide clinical education and training to other health care professionals
* Influence research, innovation and professional development for self and others
* Whilst experience in a regional neurosciences centre is desirable we are interested to hear from anyone with proven experience within a relevant neurology speciality such as stroke, early supported discharge, community neurology or other relevant experience.
* Evidence of service development and change management is essential as is the ability to collaborate with patients, families and other colleagues.
* You will be part of the wider Therapy Service at the Walton Centre and be supported by the Head of Therapies, Acute Clinical Lead and your Occupational Therapy peers to integrate into your new role. You will be supported to access additional education and training as required.
