Job Overview
Central Management Accounting team – small but strong unit delivering effective monthly management accounting information to the Health Board.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in an accounts department and an AAT qualification who seeks variety and development opportunities. The successful candidate will join a friendly, supportive finance team committed to talent growth and professional development.
Main Duties
* Provide high‑quality financial information to Business Partner Accountants and budget holders in line with the organisation’s monthly reporting timetable.
* Work to tight deadlines, demonstrate good communication skills, and maintain high standards in a customer‑focused role.
* Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute innovative ideas to strengthen continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Knowledge (Essential)
* Accounting Technician (AAT) Technician Level 3, ACCA Foundations in Accountancy Level 3, or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience including posting transactions into a financial ledger system.
* Standard level of Microsoft 365 knowledge, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
* Knowledge of financial systems and processes.
* Educated to A‑level standard with GCSE qualifications in Maths & English at grades A‑C.
Qualifications & Knowledge (Desirable)
* Knowledge of the NHS environment and funding sources.
Experience (Essential)
* Experience of working in a Finance department, or similar corporate department.
Experience (Desirable)
* Experience of using Oracle Financials, or a similar financial ledger.
* Experience of working in a customer‑focused manner.
